Carla was awarded funding to attend the BVMA Bow making & restoration course in January 2025.
She wrote: “
The Bow Course with Tim and Jutta was an amazing week. A full-on 6 days of learning as a group and one to one teaching on all things bow rehair and restoration. I stayed at Halsway Manor which hosts a verity of traditional folk art courses and workshops. I was lucky enough during my stay to see groups of young musicians and dancers in their classes. I cannot believe how much I have learned during my time here. I now feel so much more confident in my work, and I have taken away so much from the experience and it is keeping me eager to learn more! I wouldn’t have been able to be a part of this without the help of the RAB Trust and I will remember this trip throughout my whole career.”
