Award Winners: 2018

The RAB awards for 2018 were decided at a meeting in May of that year, the last to be directed and hosted by our outgoing Chair, Rachel Douglas. From 24 applications, we made 15 financial awards totalling £5775 ranging from £90 to £580, and arranged nine work experience placements in workshops throughout the UK, from Kent to Fife.

From these applications we asked the top five students to submit applications for further awards; Marios Pavlou impressed us with the quality of his work so received the RAB Special Award of £1000 which he plans to use on wood and fittings; and Sarah Padday was awarded funding to attend the 2019 BVMA Restoration Course to further her skills in this area.
