Miranda Bailey-Sharam

Newark

RAB Award 2025: Miranda was awarded a course placement on the BVMA Set-Up course, and a work placement.

RAB Award 2024:

Miranda was awarded a work placement with Libby Summers.  These were her comments on the experience at Stamford Strings:

“Having just returned from a 3-day placement at Stamford Strings I feel more confident going forward with my work. Being able to go through some crucial set up elements like the bridge and sound-post with Libby, working side by side, has furthered my understanding greatly and has set me up to be able to repeat these processes to a better standard each time.  Libby kindly offered to house me during my placement which allowed me to spend a longer time in Stamford than I was originally offered, this extra time allowed me to get my first violin set up and playing. It also allowed me to get a better feel for what working in a violin shop is like, how to handle customer interactions, and what parameters I should be looking for in my own work before I graduate from school.”
