Hanna Hofstetter reports:
Thanks to the Rab Trust I was able to join the BVMA restoration course and conference at Halsway Manor this October. It was an opportunity to meet people coming from very different backgrounds and working in all different kind of shops. This meant there was no single idea how to approach the restoration projects brought along by the participants, but a whole room full of knowledge. I learned as much working on my project as listening to others and watching their way of working. After a week of intensely working on our projects people started to arrive for the BVMA Conference. It was good to hear interesting talks and discussions as well as meet everyone.
It was a great chance for me to widen my horizon about what comes after school as much as learn about restoration in a depth the school cannot provide.
