A valuable aspect of the RAB Trust work is passing tools and materials on to students that are no longer wanted by their owners. The most efficient way to do this has evolved into the tool sales held at the Newark School of Violin Making by trustee Colin Garrett. The most recent one took place in May 2018 and many students were happily able to purchase good quality tools at reasonable prices that they would otherwise not be able to afford. The money raised goes into the RAB kitty to finance further student awards. Unused materials go to a good home and raise more money for grants – a win-win-win situation!
